MakerBot hat einen Distributionsvertrag mit der südafrikanischen Firma Rectron unterschrieben. Der Vertreiber für IT und Unterhaltungselektronik ist das erste Unternehmen um die Produkte von MakerBot auf den südafrikanischen Markt zu bringen.
Rectron wird nicht nur die gesamte 3D-Drucker Serie des Herstellers vertreiben, sondern auch dessen 3D, Scanner, Druckmaterial und Zubehör. Damit soll MakerBots “3D Ecosystem” und Real-Time Prototyping der 3D-Druck Community als auch Unternehmen zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
