Der tschechische 3D-Drucker Produzent be3D kündigt nach kurzem Fuß fassen an, den US-amerikanischen Markt erobern zu wollen und sogar lokal zu produzieren.

Aus der aktuellen Presseaussendung geht hervor, dass durch die Unterstützung des Czech Accelerator 2010 – 2014 dieser Schritt möglich wird. Nach einem dreimonatigen Praktikum in Kalifornien werden die Gründer die notwendigen Bemühungen setzten um den US-Markt zu erobern.

Die Akzeptanz des Unternehmens wird auch durch eine Platzierung bei dem Silicon Valley StartUp Cup unterstrichen. Dabei belegte be3D eine Topplatzierung unter den besten 25.

Die aktuellen Drucker DeeRed und DeeGreen sind ab sofort am amerikanischen Markt zu beziehen. Der DeeGreen kostet 2.025$, der DeeRed wird nur auf Anfrage angeboten.

Czech start-up manufacturing 3D printers trying it´s luck in Silicon Valley and looking to manufacture in the USA

Silicon Valley, 26th June 2014 – be3Dprinters, a Czech company based in Prague which manufactures 3D printers „DeeGreen“ and „DeeRed“, is begining to expand into the U.S market. This promising start-up was sent to Silicon Valley via the Czech Accelerator 2010 – 2014 project which is organized by the CzechInvest Business Development Agency. be3Dprinters has been in Silicon Valley since April of this year for a three-month internship and so far has taken many steps to establish a U.S branch and to establish the production of printers in the United States. The company has already made some notable achievements, such as when it was listed in the top 25 in the Silicon Valley StartUp Cup competition. be3Dprinters has 16 employees who are responsible for the development, production and sale.

be3Dprinters began to develop 3D printers in early 2013 and the first printer was introduced in May of the same year. Since it´s inception, the company has been supported by the Czech Technical University in Prague, which is the most prestigious technology university in the Czech Republic. be3Dprinters have so far developed three printers, the first printer, „DeeOrange“, has been superseded by the „DeeGreen“. This printer has a printing area measuring 150x150x150 mm, has an automatically calibrated printing bed and is intended for designers, architects, fashion designers, schools, hobbyists or interior design studios and as many applications as your mind can imagine . The price of „DeeGreen“ is $2,025. The second Czech start-up´s model is „DeeRed“, which in its price level is the largest mass-produced 3D printer with FDM technology in the world. DeeRed has a printing area measuring 800x400x400 mm, the print head contains two nozzles, so the printer can support the printing of two materials simultaneously. DeeRed is designed for industrial applications and the cost is around $ 25,000.

Following on from the internship in Silicon Valley, be3Dprinters is considering an active presence in the U.S market after receiving rave reviews. The Company´s aim therefore is to establish a supply chain and production in the U.S along with securing a stable distribution network.
