04.04.2014 – Stratasys kauft das größte unabhängige Service Unternehmen Solid Concepts in Nord Amerika und Harvest Technologies, texanischer Spezialist für Additive Manufacturing.
Nicht nur 3D Systems geht auf Shopping Tour auch Stratasys kauft kräftig ein. Und zwar werden Solid Concepts und Harvest Technologies gekauft. Beide Unternehmen sind im Raum Nord Amerika tätig und Spezialisten mit Additive Manufactoring.
Harvest Technologies hat eine Flotte von rund 40 Laser Sinter / Direct Metal Laser Sintering und anderen 3D-Druck Verfahren. Auch Solid Concepts hat einen breiten Bauchladen an 3D-Druckern aus den verschiedensten Verfahren. Aus den Schlagzeilen kennt man Solid Concepts vielleicht als ersten Produzenten einer komplett Metal-gesinterten Pistole.
Bei Laser Sintern (LS/SLS/DMLS) wird ein feines Pulver Schicht für Schicht mittels Laser verschmolzen. Dabei können verschiedene Materialien wie Metal- und Kunststoffpulver eingesetzt werden.
