RepRapPro bringt Tricolour Mendel 3D-Drucker (Update)

19.02.2013 – Das unter anderem von Adrian Bowyer geleitete Unternehmen RepRapPro, stellte einen RepRap Mendel mit drei Extruder vor.

Auf Basis des RepRapPro Mono Mendel, entwickelte das Unternehmen einen Open Source 3D-Printer der mithilfe dreier Druckköpfe, drei verschiedene Filamente/Farben in einem Druckvorgang verwenden kann. Dafür war eine Änderung der Marlin Firmware notwendig, damit der zusätzliche Extruder angesteuert werden kann.

Ein komplettes Eigenbau Set des Tricolour 3D-Druckers kommt dabei auf € 940 und ist binnen 30 Tagen versandbereit. Das Set ohne gedruckte Teile kommt auf €848.

Update: 29.04.2013 – Firmware und Github Update

ReprapPro empfiehlt ein Update auf Marlin V1.03 für alle Multi-Color 3D-Drucker Anwender.

Recent updates include:

More robust and improved communications between the Master and Slave

Fixed an issue where by the machine would freeze during tool changeover

Fixed a bug where by using the homing offset command (M206) would behave incorrectly

Improved temperature control to ensure the machine fails safely in the unlikely event of an issue with temperature measurement

A reset GCode is now included in the root of the Marlin folder – send this to your printer to restore factory settings.
