Proto labs kauft FineLine Prototyping und schnuppert 3D-Druck Luft

Proto labs kauft FineLine, einen Spezialisten für 3D-gedruckte Prototypen.

Der weltweit tätige Konzern proto labs ist schnellster Anbieter von Spritzgussteilen und CNC bearbeiteten Teilen. Mit dem Kauf von FineLine wagt proto labs erstmals den Kontakt mit der Additiven Fertigung.

Bei FineLine sind 3D-Drucker, wie der iPro 9000 von 3D Systems und Concept Lasers MLab im Einsatz.

Rund 70% von proto labs Kunden greifen auf Dienstleister im Bereich der Additiven Fertigung zurück. Damit wird FineLine eine breite Kundendatenbank geöffnet.

The addition of an additive manufacturing service is highly complementary to Proto Labs’ existing CNC machining and injection molding services. Historically, 70% of Proto Labs customers also utilize an additive manufacturing service in their product development process. Proto Labs will announce the acquisition of FineLine to its substantial database of over 300,000 product developers to help accelerate the growth of the additive manufacturing business.
